    Slavery and Education. How to talk about and present American Slavery in the classroom. Participants will review recent discussion surrounding slavery, reparations, and efforts to censor discussion of slavery in the classroom.

    Following the discussion, facilitator will present potentially new ways to present and discuss slavery with students in elementary, high school, college, and adult education. It starts with using the principles of  Understanding by Design/Backward Design.

    Audience: Instructors, Curriculum Designers, Program Administrators, Education Managers
